The entire Web3 world—and beyond—is invited to break on through to the Otherside tonight at 9 P.M. EST and help Yuga Labs set the world record for the most players in an online shooter!
Friday’s Project Dragon event will be one for the record books as Yuga Labs opens the Otherside metaverse to EVERYONE worldwide in an attempt to make history!
“gm,” Yuga Labs’ Otherside Communnity Manager PM0721 tweeted.”Today GM stands for Guinness Morning. At 9 PM ET, we’re going to smash a world record. Link in bio to join via the Hub at @OthersideMeta. See you all there. Lets break a record.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, tonight’s event marks a huge step forward for Yuga Labs as they continue working toward a persistent metaverse packed with fun, large-scale events like this!
“For Otherside’s First Trip, we had 4.6k users in one experience,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted. “For Second Trip, 7k users. But having a shooter with mass concurrency is insanely technically hard. Join us this Friday was we try to break the world record for most players in a shooter with Otherside’s Project Dragon. The highest we’ve done is 1400 users, which is already an insane amount of chaos. Let’s beat it, and beat a world record at the same time. Jan 31st, 9pm ET. No NFT required.”
To break the record tonight, Yuga Labs will need at least 1,531 players to ape into the Swamp, according to Wikipedia.
While an NFT is not required to participate in tonight’s Project Dragon event, players must set up a Yuga ID with an email address. To do that, check out Yuga Labs’ Otherside website here: https://launch.otherside.xyz
The Bored Ape Gazette will be bringing you wartime coverage straight from the Swamp during Project Dragon tonight. Stay tuned for updates—and let’s break a record!
