BOTTOMS UP: The ApeCoin DAO Approves Ape Gin Founder Makash Mak’s AIP To Set The Guinness World Record For Largest Gin & Tonic Ever!

NFT Paris 2025 will be one for the record books after the ApeCoin DAO approved an Ape Improvement Proposal to attempt crafting the world’s largest Gin & Tonic!

On Wednesday, the $Ape community narrowly approved Bored Ape Yacht Club member and Ape Gin founder Makash Mak’s AIP-495, titled “Organization of the Guinness World Record Attempt for the Largest Gin & Tonic During NFT Paris 2025.”

“We’re beyond words,” Makash Mak told the Gazette. “Seeing so many community members supporting not just the idea but a vision that bridges Web2 and Web3 in such a bold way is truly inspiring. This showcases the power and creativity of DAO.”

Following the proposal’s approval, the DAO will allocate $204,850 USD and 10,000 $APE across four spending tranches. With these funds, Makash Mak will craft a 2,222-liter Gin & Tonic, organize an event around it, and offer Guinness World Record-inspired mystery boxes, ApeCoin prizes, and more.

“Look forward to grants for the community, Mystery Boxes, a 10k APE giveaway, and unique NFTs tied to this event,” Makash Mak said. “This is more than a Guinness World Record – it’s a global promotion of ApeCoin DAO, ApeChain, and our community. We invite everyone to follow updates on the ApeCoin forum: Implementation Update AIP-495. Thank you for your support and trust – together, we can achieve something truly extraordinary!”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Makash Mak and his attempt to set the world record for the largest Gin & Tonic. Stay tuned for updates!
