The metaphorical gavel is about to drop at Sotheby’s online auction house on a CryptoPunk sporting a bandit’s eye mask that looks like an absolute steal!

Going once. Going twice. Gone! On Tuesday, Sotheby’s Digital Art Day Auction, featuring 18 NFTs—including a bandit eye mask-wearing CryptoPunk perfect for crime season is about to end. So, potential bidders, now’s the time to ape in!

“Sotheby’s is pleased to present The Digital Art Day Auction featuring works from GRAILS: Property from an Iconic Collection and GRAILS: Starry Night, two extraordinary digital art collections,” the auction house wrote. “The sale also features other iconic digital art works. This sale also highlights unique works by some of the most sought after artists such Refik Anadol, Xcopy, Matt Kane, Emily Xie and many other notable artists within the digital art landscape. The sale is designed for both emerging collectors and connoisseurs, offering a wide range of works across the digital art movement.”
The Punk on the auction block is CryptoPunk #6425, a three-attribute female Punk with an eye mask, black lipstick, and straight hair.

“Embodying the philosophies of pseudonymity, community, and tradability that are essential to the blockchain ecosystem, and further representing the technology’s elegant simplicity, the CryptoPunks journey to non-fungible stardom situates the collection alongside Modern & Contemporary art that seeks to reflect the nascent culture of our time,” Sotheby’s wrote. “Simultaneously representing the original NFT community in the purest guise, Punks are the vanguard of our generation, challenging the maintained perspectives of artistic and cultural production. Creating a whole new audience for collecting art with digitally native collectors, Punks were born, and will continue to live, immutably, on the Ethereum blockchain.”
The starting bid for CryptoPunk #6425 is $100,000, with Sotheby’s estimating a final sale price between $100,000 and $150,000.
The window to place your bid and possibly snag this Punk closes tomorrow at 2 P.M. EST. For more details, check out the Sotheby’s auction here: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2025/digital-art-day-auction/cryptopunk-6425?locale=en

That CryptoPunk looks pretty cool, aye! A mask and all? Just like how we wear masks in some old Hawaiian stories. Good luck to the bidders!
