HISTORY IN THE MAKING: Yuga Labs Is Inviting the Entire Web3 To Otherside Next Week To Break A Guinness World Record!

If at first you don’t succeed, try again! After last month’s attempt fell just short, Yuga Labs is rallying the Web3 world once more, inviting everyone to ape into Otherside next Saturday, February 22nd, at 12 P.M. EST to help make history and break the Guinness World Record for the most players in a first-person shooter battle!

Things were anything but boring on Tuesday as Yuga Labs took to the timeline and announced that this month’s episode of Project Dragon is happening next Saturday, and they’re aiming to make it one for the record books!

“Project Dragon next week,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account. “February 22 12pm EST. Let’s fucking break the world record for most players in a FPS battle. Anyone can join – no NFT needed.”

To break the record next Saturday, Yuga Labs will need at least 1,531 players to ape into the Swamp, according to Wikipedia.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, 1,400 Apes, Meebs, Kodas, Voyagers, and more made it to Otherside for last month’s Project Dragon event—where we came up just short of breaking the record.

“Agonizingly, we had 1,400 players pew-pewing each other in the face,” the BAYC’s mascot Curtis said after the event. “It was glorious, obviously. It was awesome. But we were about 130 players short. As bitterly disappointed as I am, I’m still very impressed with each and every one of you because we are not going to go quietly into the night. We’re going to fight, and next month we’re going to do it right! Who’s with me?”
