A new quarter of the ApeCoin DAO’s staking rewards program kicked off this weekend, with another 6,250,000 $Ape slated for distribution to stakers over the next 90 days!

Time flies when you’re staking $Ape! Yesterday, the ApeCoin DAO officially entered Quarter 2 of the third and final year of its staking rewards program, with another 6,250,000 $Ape set to be distributed to stakers across three staking pools and via ApeChain’s native yield, running until Friday, June 6th, 2025.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO’s staking rewards program was established in AIP-21 and AIP-22 back in 2022.Pic
At the time, the community voted to allocate 175 million tokens to stakers, with 100 million distributed in Year 1, 50 million distributed in Year 2, and 25 million set to be distributed during this third and final year!

$Ape holders and Apes interested in staking their ApeCoin and earning yield this quarter have plenty of options.
For $Ape holders, you can bridge your tokens from the Ethereum mainnet to ApeChain and automatically start earning native yield. To do this, check out the ApeChain bridge here: https://apechain.com/portal

BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC holders are invited to stake their ApeCoin in the Bored Ape-only, Mutant Ape-only, or paired BAKC pools. You can either check out the official ApeStake IO website or stake via the contract on Etherscan. For more details on this Etherscan option, check out 0xQuit’s thread from December 2022 and former Special Council member Gerry’s step-by-step video guide below:
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the final year of ApeCoin staking. Stay tuned for updates!
