TAKING FLIGHT: Yuga Labs’ Creative Director Colin Hesterly Gives Birbs A Sneak Peek At Otherside Ready Moonbirds!

Hello from the Otherside!

The Birb was the word on Tuesday as Yuga Labs’ Creative Director, Colin Hesterly, gave the Web3 world a fresh look at the Moonbirds’ Otherside ready 3D models!

Less than a week after Yuga Labs made 3D files available to Koda holders, everyone got a sneak peek at the Moonbirds’ 3D models.

“Currently doing QA on the @moonbirds avatar,” Hesterly tweeted along with three new 3D modeled Moonbird photos. “Here we come, Otherside!”

At this time, it’s unclear when Moonbird holders will be able to use their 3D avatars in Otherside. But we do know that these models are part of Yuga Labs’ broader Moonbirds Universe plans to expand the brand after acquiring PROOF and Moonbirds in February 2024.

This Moonbirds Universe initiative includes more than just 3D models—it also features updated art that dropped last year, full IP rights for Moonbird holders, an Otherside world called Volaria for Birbs to flock together, IRL events like the one held during ApeFest 2024, and future partnerships for physical collectibles.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Moonbirds ecosystem and let you know when the Birbs take flight in Otherside. Stay tuned for updates!

  1. Man, those 3D models look slick, but the wait for the avatars to drop is kinda disappointing. Gotta keep an eye on this Otherside thing, ya know?

    1. Waiting builds excitement, mate.

      1. Waiting just makes you miss out on good times. Life’s too short to sit around; let’s savor the moment instead of building anticipation.

        1. Waiting can be important too. Sometimes, good things come to those who take their time. Not everything needs to be rushed; some moments are worth the wait.

          1. Patience often leads to missed opportunities. Swift action can yield immediate benefits. Life’s fleeting; one must seize the moment rather than linger in expectation.

          2. Waiting just drags everything out. Good things happen when you grab them, not sit around twiddling your thumbs.

          3. Patience often leads to better outcomes. Rushing can ruin the finer details that make things truly worthwhile.

          4. Sometimes, taking quick action brings surprising results that patience can’t achieve.

          5. Quick actions can lead to mistakes. Sometimes, waiting and thinking things through brings better results, especially when planning or creating something like a good song.

          6. Sometimes, quick actions lead to great surprises too!
