It’s tourney season around the swamp, and $1 million worth of $Ape is on the line! Later this week, the sewers below the Bored Ape Yacht Club will be filled with the best (and luckiest) Dookey Dashers as they suit up in their hazmat gear once again to compete in Yuga Labs and Faraway Gaming Studios’ first-ever Dookey Dash: Unclogged eSports tournament!
On Monday, the BAYC took to the timeline to remind the community that the top 250 Dookey Dashers from last season, along with the lucky few who earned Golden Plungers via the Wheel of Dookey, will face off for a share of the million-dollar prize pool starting this Saturday.
“The time has come,” the BAYC tweeted. “The official S1 esports Dookey Dash: Unclogged tournament hosted by @farawaygg run from January 11-17. To participate, make sure you have a Golden Plunger in your wallet before logging into the tournament client. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Dookey Dashers raced through the sewers from September to December 2024 in hopes of earning Golden Plunger NFTs. These Golden Plungers serve as holders’ golden tickets to this month’s season-ending eSports contest.
At this time, we do not know the structure of the week-long tournament, but we do know that everyone in the tourney will be competing on a leveled power-up playing field. First place will win at least $50,000 USD worth of $Ape, and everyone competing will get “Dookey Flips” that guarantee them at least $1,000 USD worth of prizes!
We also know that Yuga Labs and Faraway Gaming Studios will host a Tournament of Champions on January 22nd with BAYC member TFG and the Swamp Gaming team.
