“WE HAVE PLANS”: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Teases An Upcoming Reward For Apes And Otherdeed Holders! Here’s What We Know So Far:

It’s almost reward season around the swamp, as Yuga Labs CEO Garga told the community that he and the team are building something to reward Apes and Otherdeed holders later this year!

For the third Wednesday in a row, Garga aped into the Otherside Discord and answered community members’ questions about the metaverse and more.

During the talk, Garga teased that Apes, Mutants, and Otherdeed holders will be getting something soon and that it’s been a long time coming.

“Everything we’re seeing is that we’re in a new, more sober and friendly regulatory environment for crypto,” Garga wrote. “We’ve waited a long time for that. We have plans to reward BAYC and Otherdeed holders with something we have planned this year.”

Rewarding Apes and Otherdeed holders has been a topic of conversation around the swamp for weeks.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Garga has repeatedly said that Yuga Labs is working on a secret project being led by PP Man, which involves AI, a new protocol, and will reward Apes and Voyagers.

“The secret project is very exciting,” Garga said on a recent episode of the VeraTheInten Podcast. “It’s something that we are super stoked about. It’s something that we think will reward for Apes and Otherdeed holders its own new thing. Its something that really tickled wylie and I. It involves a character that we invited. It involved AI and a crypto product that we are excited about. And anyway, it should be fun!”

At this time, we don’t know specifics about the project, but it’s expected to launch before the first persistent iteration of Otherside in June.

As we wait for more information on this secret project, it’s important to note that AI has been a focal point for Garga and Yuga Labs since late last year.

Back in December, he revealed that Yuga Labs was working with the Wire Network on Otherside AI Agents. “Cooking with friends,” he tweeted along with a flow chart that begins with an “iNPC (Interactive Non-Playable Character)” and ends with independent AI-driven characters capable of guiding narratives and generating quests for players.

Then, earlier this month, Garga announced that AI agents built using a16z’s Eliza framework can now interact with $Ape. He also revealed that Yuga Labs plans to integrate AI into Otherside’s initial persistent metaverse launch this June.
